One of Mother Nature’s natural wonders provides
a relaxing experience at Red River Hot Springs. Twenty-five
miles from the town of Elk City, a large warm swimming pool, hot
tub and private soaking tubs offer visitors the pleasure of hot
mineral waters.
This mountain resort is open year-round. It is built around
mineral springs. The Native Americans believed these springs
produced powerful healing waters. The mineral water comes out of
the hills at 130 degrees, with 16 different minerals and is
missing the strong sulfur smell usually present in natural hot
springs.
The resort is privately owned, but the hot springs and the
surrounding wilderness are protected by the U.S. Forest Service.
